I want to order a painting, about how long will it take?

It takes about 4-6 weeks after you have placed your order and paid your deposit. As soon as I have your order and deposit, I will make a sketch for your approval and then I will begin your painting. This is the best time to make any changes to your painting.

I will send you a photograph of the painting when I am done so you can give your final approval.

If you want the painting for a special occasion (Christmas or another holiday or birthday), please consider that when you are placing your order as I tend to get backed up during these times.

What's it cost to get a custom painting done?

Prices includes 1 animal for pet portraits or a single subject for regular portraits and a minimal (lightly colored) background. There is an addition charge of $50 for each additional figure. Add $50 for a more detailed background.

All paintings are watercolors done on 140 lb. cold-pressed watercolor paper. They come matted and ready to frame. Shipping and insurance is included in the price of the painting. There is a 50% nonrefundable deposit required with your order. We'll send you a digital photograph of the sketch we're using for your painting for review. You can make any changes at that point. Final payment is due at the time the painting is finished.

What are my payment options?

You can pay by money order or through Paypal.

There is a 50% deposit required when you place your order. The balance is due when your painting is finished. I will send you a digital photograph of the painting and I will send the actual painting after the balance is paid.  Shipping is included in the costs of the painting.

How do I place an order?

Ordering is somewhat of a manual process at the moment but we like to consider that giving our clients personal treatment.  You can initiate contact on the contact page of the site.  We are always happy to hear from you.

How do I get my photographs to you?

Photographs may be sent by email, on a CD or you can just snail mail them to me. Send as many as possible. The more detail you can show in your photos, the better I can paint the subjects' likeness.

The larger the file size, the better. Please don't send poor quality photographs.

If you send an actual photograph, I will return them with your painting. Please label all photographs with your contact info on the back.

Can photographs be combined?

Definitely! Please give me any detailed instructions for combining photographs. I will show you a sketch before I begin the actual painting so you can make any changes at that point. You can contact me by email if you have any questions or comments at any point. I want you to be pleased with your painting.

Please remember that there is an additional charge for more than one subject in each painting.

How will my painting be shipped?

All paintings will be shipped to you via USPS Priority Mail, insured with delivery confirmation.

Shipping is included in the price of the painting so there are no surprise fees.
